Already Own

If you already own an instrument:

Just because an instrument looks good, does not mean it is playable. We want to remove any obstacle to your child having a great first impression of band. Here is how you can help us: If your child will be starting on a used instrument, get it checked out for FREE now to be sure your child has a trouble-free start on the first day of band.

Contact your band director and drop off the instrument at your school. We will send it to Paige's Music for a FREE inspection by their repair team, who will then contact you. If repairs or adjustments are necessary, you can authorize them or decline them. There is no cost for the estimate or pickup/delivery of your instrument. This process typically takes one to two weeks.

Also very important -your child will need several accessory items to begin playing their instrument. You can purchase everything you need in a "Starter Pack" for $45.96 (including tax) from Paige's Music. If you think you may already have some of these items, you can compare to our list below of the exact items your child will need -following the details precisely will help your child have a smooth start to band. Flute: Cleaning rod; polishing cloth; drop swab; silver anti-tarnish strip.

Oboe: Silk drop swab; 1 medium hard reed, reed guard, cork grease.

Bb Clarinet: VanDoren B45 mouthpiece; mouthpiece cushion; three reeds strength 2.5 manufactured by VanDoren or Mitchell Lurie or Rico; reed guard for 4 reeds; cork grease; polishing cloth; drop swab; woodwind mouthpiece cleaning brush.
