Elementary Band Concert Dates for 2024-2025

Fall Concert Monday, October 7, 2024, Auditorium (East H.S.) 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Winter Concert Monday, December 16, 2024, Auditorium (East H.S.) 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Spring Concert Monday, March 10, 2025, Auditorium (East H.S.) 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Finale Concert Monday, May 12, 2025, Auditorium (East H.S.) 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

STANDARD PROCEDURE:

The combined BCSC elementary band will perform at this evening’s concert.  This required concert is a part of the curriculum for all band students.

6:00 PM Students begin arriving.

   * The Auditorium is closed during the rehearsal.

6:30 PM Student rehearsal begins promptly at 6:30 on the auditorium stage.  Please be on time!

   * Parents may wait in the auditorium foyer.

7:30 PM Concert begins!

   * The auditorium doors will open for parents at 7:20 PM; concert will last about 20 minutes.

* Students should dress up for the concert.  Suggested attire:  dresses, skirts, slacks, nice shoes, nice sweater or button-down shirt, tie.  Please do not wear jeans, sweats, sweatshirts, or t-shirts with logos/text.  Do not wear the band t-shirt for this event.

Maintain your instrument by cleaning the mouthpiece once a week.  Woodwinds: swab out each day you play.  Brass: Oil trumpet/euphonium valves and trombone slides twice a week; French horn every two weeks.  Move all tuning slides in/out each day you play; grease them if they become hard to move, or at least once a month.
